2019 The Scotsman

Grown overlooking the Columbia River at Discovery Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills, these grapes were toughened by the windy site and ripened beautifully with generous southern exposure, creating a wine that is powerful and full of flavor.  The nose is a mix of sweet and savory character, with mineral aromatics distinctive of Syrah - all balanced by a healthy compliment of sweet, toasty vanilla. True to its name, the wine is muscular on the palette.
